Galloping Towards Spring

March is here, and it's packed with exciting events you won’t want to miss! We’re kicking things off with Read Across America, a celebration of literacy through interactive events, special guest readers, and fun dress-up days. We’re also honoring Women’s History Month with classroom visits from inspiring, well-known women. Plus, we’ve got a fun Family Connectedness Math Game Night on the calendar, where students can teach their families math games, enjoy a sweet treat from Mr. Softee, and support the PTA. There’s something for everyone this month!

And that's not all—this month we are also excited to elect our 2025-2026 PTA Executive Board! Our proposed slate is as follows:

Celebrate Reading, Stallion-Style:

Read Across America Week!

The first week of March is dedicated to celebrating the joy of reading in exciting and creative ways! As part of Read Across America, we’ll encourage our students to discover the magic of books. Throughout the week, students will enjoy daily dress-up days, hear from special guest readers at the Ranch, and explore new, fun ways to dive into the world of reading. Don’t forget to visit our FREE Book Cart by the flagpole every day after school—pick up books to grow your home library and keep the reading fun going all year long! Check out the Read Across America Week Spirit Days below, and get ready for a week full of literacy adventures!

Skate the Night Away, Stallions!

Join us for an exciting night of roller skating at Skating Plus! It’s the perfect opportunity for our Stallions to get active, have fun with friends, and support our PTA. Mark your calendars, lace up your skates, and get ready for a wheelie good time!

We invite you to join us on Thursday, March 13th at 11:45 AM for our PTA Association meeting, where we will be voting on the new Executive Board. The meeting will be held in the Rancho Rosal MPR.

Come learn more about our PTA, connect with fellow parents, and find the perfect way to get involved—there’s something for everyone!

Family Math Night: Games, Fun & Mister Softee!

Enjoy a fun evening of math games for every grade level. Mister Softee will be there selling ice cream, and students who attend will receive a special goodie bag (while supplies last). Don’t miss out on this exciting event!

Shout Out to Your 5th Grader!

Honor your 5th grader with a special Yearbook message (30 words max) and a baby/toddler photo for just $10! Email your dedication and photo to RanchoRosalYearbook@gmail.com by March 21st.

Inspiring Women, Inspiring Stories

From March 24-28th, we're celebrating Women in History with a special project led by Mrs. Taminich! A talented group of 5th-grade girls will bring history to life by portraying inspiring historical women and sharing their incredible stories through performances. These performances will be open to classes, offering students a chance to learn about the remarkable women who shaped our world.

We’re still on the lookout for donations of props and costumes to help make these performances extra special! If you’d like to be part of this exciting project, check out the donation signup below.

WANT TO SKIP THE FUNDRAISERS?

We understand that fundraisers can be overwhelming, but without this support our Stallions will miss out on so many enrichment programs.

Sadly, todays school curriculum does not include many of the programs we grew up loving. PE is once a week - coached by the YMCA and paid for by the PTA. Art and Ceramics are typically provided by an outside organization and paid for by the PTA. Science Fair, Field Trips, the School Library, Playground Equipment, Classroom manipulatives, specific supplies and some class reading books are also paid for by the PTA. We also support most Assemblies, after-school Family Events and Teacher Appreciation Week Events.

This is just a short list of how funding is used, so we appreciate all support from any fundraiser. We are also sensitive to the idea that you or your student do not want to sell cards, candy or ask for sponsors. Some students LOVE the challenge, the interaction and the prizes! If your family would prefer to make a direct donation, please do so via our website and the link below. You can find the DONATE option on our SHOP page.

Please note that any direct donations will not remove you from "A List" and your child will still receive fundraising materials.
